This book tells of King David’s journey. Even though David is a man after God’s own heart, he has many successes and many failures. The obedient periods in David’s life are literally painted as high points with the warm glow of gold (God) around them. David’s low points are farther away from God’s will and appear in a tangled mess, where his web of deceit and lies affect him and other people.

God loves us through all of our choices, but there are real consequences for what we do. I believe David’s story is every person’s story.
